American Archetype has released a fantastic little model of the Pennsylvania Railroad’s rubber tired, electric switchers.  The rapid-prototype kit is designed after PRR’s class 3/8000 battery powered tractors that were in use from the late 1920’s to the early 1950’s. These diminutive switchers were used in tight urban quarters such as Baltimore, MD and Jersey City, NJ. 

The kit itself includes a rapid prototype shell, interior, and roof.  You’ll notice some “layering” in the super-size photo below, but like the White Tower RP models from ESMC, the grain is all but imperceptible to the naked eye.  We assure you that the penny is regular size.  These are tiny, highly detailed models!
